Our President proudly represented the Lions Club of Melbourne She Rises at the 108th Lions International Convention in Hong Kong, joining more than 17,000 Lions from around the world in a global celebration of service, leadership and friendship.

For a newly established club, attending one of the world's largest Lions gatherings was both an honour and an inspiring opportunity to connect with fellow Lions who share the same commitment to making a positive difference in their communities.

One of the proudest moments of the convention was receiving our club's first International Service Award since our establishment. This recognition celebrates the dedication, teamwork and passion of every member who has contributed to building She Rises from the very beginning.

Reflections from the Convention

The convention reminded us that while every Lions club serves its own local community, together we are part of a global movement united by kindness, compassion and service.

Meeting Lions from different countries, cultures and backgrounds reinforced the belief that meaningful change begins with ordinary people who choose to serve others. Every conversation, every friendship and every shared experience inspired us to continue growing as leaders and to strengthen our impact here in Melbourne.

As a young club, this milestone gives us confidence that we are building something meaningful. It motivates us to continue empowering women, serving our community and creating opportunities for others to grow alongside us.
